We loved the sleep over Moultons! Come back soon, we miss you already and are still a bit miffed that you moved to Portland...

It kind of seems like I am forever playing catch up with the old blog. I blame the she-bear. Aaron's parents were kind enough to pay us a visit over Father's Day weekend. We had a great time and were sad they had to leave so soon.
While they were here we finally made it down to hike around Seven Falls. It was a beautiful day and the hike felt great (despite being 7 months pregnant and getting to climb what felt like 5 billion stairs).
After our hike we explored the Garden of the Gods. It had rained pretty hard right before we got there and the views were pretty spectacular.
We finished off the Saturday with dinner at Beau Jo's pizza. Sunday we relaxed and Aaron's parents helped us get ready for youth conference. It was great to have them out. We forget how much we miss having family around!

The she-bear and I have found a new source for all of those burning pregnancy/parenting questions. Check it out:

After months of careful and sometimes heated debate, Aaron and I have still been unable to come up with a suitable name for the McBabykins. Luckily we have been assured that as long as we come up with something before we leave the hospital with her we will not be deemed completely unfit parents.
In the meantime we have dubbed her "she-bear". We owe the credit for coming up with this clever little moniker to Uncle Austin who used to say "Rawr, rawr she-bear, No one understands you" (quoting from a Simpsons episode). We picked it up because we are sure our little baby buns is trying desperately to tell us something with her erratic jerks, tiny kicks and lodging herself in my appendix...we have yet to decifer the message (does it make us unfit parents that we use a quote from the Simpsons to nickname our child?).
If you are curious, watch here (the clip starts at 18:55).

For my birthday this year I was lucky enough to get to fly home to hang out with my mom, sister and sister in law. Aaron was out of town at a conference so it was the perfect opportunity for a little girl time. We got to throw a baby shower for Alicia as an added bonus. I had a great weekend chatting with my family, eating good food and just enjoying being home. It's been a while since it was just the girls.
Here's Alicia and I showing off our baby bumps (I'm about 7 months along and Ali is 5). It is so much fun to be pregnant together. I am so excited for my little one to have a cousin her same age. I hope they will be as good of friends as Alicia and I have been. I can't imagine anyone I would rather share this time with. I love you sis!
